Fun Times at Barnes and Noble!

What a fantastic day!  The STEAM teachers and I got to interact with so many kids and parents and we shared art, books, and other projects with the community.  Thank you, Barnes and Noble for having us!

Art Club Bracelet Sale

Art Club made loomed bracelets to benefit the JDRF Diabetes Foundation.  Let me just say that this wasn't my idea, but a couple of girls in fourth grade!  Well done, artists:)

A few things we are working on

Day of the Dead Skulls

I absolutely love they way these are turning out!  We learned about the history of the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), a holiday that is celebrated in Mexico.  Then, we compared Day of the Dead skulls with Paul Cezanne's painting, The Three Skulls and discussed which one the students preferred.  We held a debate during class and it was so interesting to hear what the students had to say!
